The bistrot style for a friendly interior!
The end of the year is approaching and the temperatures have cooled down! Why not take refuge in your own home to share convivial moments with friends and family in a typical french bistrot atmosphere?
The bistrot style is a trend that is becoming increasingly popular with those who prefer a warm and friendly decor. Raw wood sideboards, small round tables, metal hanging lamps or the one of a kind Thonet chairs: the bistrot style can be found in all categories of vintage furniture!
What is the bistrot style in decoration?
Largely inspired by the industrial style with the use of metal furniture, the bistro style also finds many inspirations in vintage wooden furniture with rounded shapes and rustic materials such as cane.
Don’t hesitate to incorporate the bistrot style in your decoration in small touches. A large mirror running along a wall will remind you of the atmosphere of french cafés and brasseries while giving depth to your interior. Wine racks or metal drink carts are your allies. Psst…the Beaujolais nouveau will be available for tasting on 19 November !
An authentic and friendly style
The key element for a successful bistrot interior is its authenticity! So go for noble materials and quality furniture.
If this style is easier to integrate in a kitchen or a dining room than in a living room, don’t hesitate to go for a leather bench! Similarly, opt for a wooden bench. Once covered with your best cushions and plaids, it will always inspire more conviviality!
